Recreational Entertainment Disclaimer

Last Updated: July 20, 2026
Important Participation Notice

Questoria Play provides recreational entertainment. Participation is voluntary. Every participant must follow facilitator instructions, use reasonable judgment, and stop participating when the participant feels unwell, unsafe, or unable to continue. Nothing on this page removes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Purpose of This Disclaimer

This Recreational Entertainment Disclaimer explains the nature and limitations of services provided by Questoria Play and identifies important responsibilities of Clients, event organizers, venues, and participants. It applies to guided game sessions, team challenges, interactive scenarios, themed quests, puzzles, facilitated group activities, and event game coordination, whether delivered at our location, at a Client-selected venue, online, outdoors, or at another approved site.

This Disclaimer forms part of the Terms of Service. It should be reviewed before booking and shared by the booking organizer with every participant. A scenario-specific safety briefing, venue rule, participation notice, or written agreement may provide additional requirements.

The information below is general because physical demands, themes, lighting, sound, props, time pressure, and venue conditions vary between activities. Clients should request clarification before booking when a group has particular age, health, sensory, mobility, or accessibility needs.

2. Recreational and Entertainment Purpose Only

Questoria Play activities are designed for recreation, social interaction, imagination, entertainment, and voluntary group participation. They are not professional treatment, formal education, regulated instruction, psychological evaluation, employment assessment, security training, emergency training, or a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

A corporate or organizational Client may choose an activity to encourage communication or collaboration, but no representation is made that participation will diagnose workplace issues, resolve conflict, measure employee capability, improve productivity, or produce a particular organizational result.

Game outcomes, scores, observations, facilitator comments, character assignments, or team roles should not be used as a basis for employment, medical, educational, disciplinary, or other consequential decisions.

3. No Gambling or Regulated Gaming

Our services do not involve gambling, betting, wagering, lotteries, casino gaming, or games of chance for money or valuable prizes. Any points, fictional currency, rankings, tokens, titles, badges, or story rewards used during an activity are entertainment devices and have no cash value unless a written event description expressly identifies a lawful, separately funded promotional item.

Participants may not create side bets, collect wagers, or use our activities to facilitate unapproved prize competitions. Questoria Play does not operate a gaming platform, hold participant funds for wagering, or determine winners for gambling purposes.

If a Client proposes a contest, award, or prize outside our standard services, the Client is responsible for obtaining legal advice and ensuring that the arrangement complies with applicable law. We may decline any format that appears to involve regulated gaming or an unlawful promotion.

4. Ordinary Participation Demands

Depending on the selected activity, participants may be asked to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, carry lightweight objects, manipulate props, write, read, listen, speak, work in groups, navigate decorated spaces, or respond within a time limit. Some scenarios may use dim lighting, theatrical sound, costumes, simulated mystery, enclosed rooms that remain safely accessible, or surprising narrative elements.

We do not intentionally design activities to require dangerous exertion, forced physical contact, climbing on structures, entering prohibited spaces, or damaging property. A participant should never use excessive force, move venue fixtures, open restricted containers, touch electrical equipment, or take an action that conflicts with facilitator instructions.

Participants must choose a level of involvement appropriate for their own condition. A participant may ask for clarification, request an adaptation, take a break, decline a task, or leave an activity, subject to venue exit procedures.

5. Health and Medical Considerations

Questoria Play personnel are facilitators, not medical professionals. We do not evaluate whether participation is medically appropriate and do not provide diagnosis, treatment, medication, medical monitoring, or personal care. Participants with health concerns should seek guidance from a qualified medical professional before participating.

A participant should use particular care if the participant has a condition affected by standing, walking, stress, flashing or low light, loud sound, confined spaces, heat, cold, allergies, sensory stimulation, or time pressure. The booking organizer should ask about activity characteristics before confirmation if such conditions may be relevant.

Only information reasonably necessary for planning should be shared with us. In an emergency, Questoria Play may contact emergency services and provide available information reasonably necessary to assist responders. The Client or participant is responsible for emergency treatment and related costs unless applicable law provides otherwise.

6. Accessibility and Accommodation

We welcome advance notice of accessibility needs and will make good-faith efforts to offer reasonable modifications when feasible. Potential modifications may include altered instructions, seated roles, additional reading time, larger-print materials, reduced sound, different team assignments, or removal of nonessential physical tasks.

The availability of a modification depends on the scenario, location, equipment, staffing, timing, safety, and whether the change would fundamentally alter the purchased activity. Third-party venues control building access, elevators, restrooms, parking, service-animal rules, and other site features. We cannot guarantee a feature controlled by a venue unless it has been confirmed in writing.

Clients should provide accommodation requests as early as possible. A late request will still be considered, but preparation time or venue limitations may affect what can reasonably be arranged.

7. Minors and Responsible Adult Supervision

Minors may participate only in activities approved for their age group and with required permission from a parent, legal guardian, school representative, or other authorized adult. The booking organizer must provide accurate ages and must not place a minor into an activity with unsuitable themes, complexity, or physical demands.

Unless a written booking expressly includes supervised youth programming, Questoria Play does not provide childcare or assume custody of minors. Responsible adults must remain present in the number and manner required by the booking or venue and are responsible for behavior, personal care, transportation, and emergency decisions.

We may remove or adapt frightening, violent, mature, or otherwise sensitive story elements for younger participants. Age suitability is a general guide and cannot guarantee that every child will react to a theme in the same way.

8. Allergies, Food, Costumes, and Materials

Activities may use paper, ink, fabric, wood, foam, plastic, adhesives, theatrical makeup, washable markers, decorative materials, or commercially produced props. Food or beverages are not included unless expressly stated. Clients should ask before booking if a participant has a serious allergy or material sensitivity.

We do not guarantee an allergen-free environment, particularly at a third-party venue or public event. Food supplied by a caterer, venue, Client, or participant is controlled by that provider. Participants should not consume any game prop or unidentified material.

Costumes and wearable props are optional unless the booking says otherwise. Participants must not wear an item that obstructs vision, breathing, movement, or safe exit. Any discomfort or damage should be reported immediately.

9. Venue and Environmental Conditions

At a Client-selected or third-party venue, the venue owner and booking Client are responsible for lawful access, general premises safety, occupancy limits, fire exits, utilities, sanitation, parking, and venue-specific compliance unless a written agreement assigns a particular responsibility to Questoria Play.

Participants must remain in authorized areas and follow posted rules. Game clues never require entry into locked, marked, elevated, hazardous, or staff-only areas. Participants should not interpret theatrical storytelling as permission to ignore ordinary safety signs or venue instructions.

Outdoor activities may be affected by uneven ground, traffic, weather, wildlife, temperature, visibility, and public activity. Suitable clothing, footwear, hydration, sun protection, and personal weather preparation remain the participant's responsibility unless expressly included in the booking.

10. Participant Conduct and Removal

Participants must behave respectfully and must not threaten, harass, strike, restrain, intimidate, or deliberately endanger another person. Intentional damage, theft, dangerous horseplay, discrimination, and interference with emergency or venue personnel are prohibited.

Weapons, illegal substances, hazardous materials, and unapproved pyrotechnics are prohibited. A participant who appears materially impaired by alcohol, cannabis, medication, or another substance may be refused participation when impairment creates a reasonable safety or operational concern.

Questoria Play may pause or end an activity and may direct a participant to leave for prohibited conduct or refusal to follow reasonable instructions. Removal for conduct is governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy and does not ordinarily create refund eligibility.

11. Props, Personal Property, and Damage

Props should be handled only as instructed and with reasonable care. Participants must not force locks, dismantle electronics, climb furniture, throw objects, mark venue surfaces, or remove game materials without authorization. A clue that does not respond to gentle handling should be left in place and reported to the facilitator.

Participants remain responsible for their own phones, bags, clothing, jewelry, medication, and other personal property. Questoria Play is not a storage or security provider and cannot guarantee protection against loss, theft, or accidental damage at a venue.

The Client may be charged for damage caused by intentional misuse, reckless behavior, unauthorized removal, or refusal to follow handling instructions, excluding ordinary wear and tear and damage caused by a defect for which the participant was not responsible.

12. No Guaranteed Experience or Result

Entertainment preferences and group responses are subjective. We do not guarantee that each participant will enjoy every theme, solve every puzzle, remain interested for the same length of time, agree with teammates, or achieve a particular score. Difficulty descriptions and estimated completion times are general guides.

Team challenge activities do not guarantee improved communication, morale, leadership, productivity, retention, workplace culture, or business performance. Scenario development does not guarantee attendance, publicity, revenue, audience response, or commercial success for the Client's event.

Facilitators may provide encouragement or general observations as part of the entertainment, but such comments are not professional assessments and should not be treated as statements of fact about a participant's abilities or character.

13. Third-Party Providers

Venues, caterers, transportation providers, rental companies, photographers, payment processors, and other third parties may provide services associated with an event. Unless identified as acting under our direction, those providers are independent and are responsible for their own services, personnel, equipment, terms, and insurance.

A recommendation or coordination assistance does not guarantee a third party's availability, quality, safety, or performance. Clients should review third-party terms and raise concerns directly with the responsible provider while also informing Questoria Play when the issue affects our delivery.

14. Emergency and Interruption Procedures

In an emergency, all gameplay stops. Participants must follow instructions from emergency personnel, venue staff, and facilitators and must use designated exits. No score, clue, prop, or personal item takes priority over safety.

A facilitator may pause an activity to investigate a hazard, assist a participant, respond to venue instructions, or address a technical issue. Where practical, reasonable time may be restored or the activity adapted. Financial treatment for a material interruption is governed by the Cancellation & Refund Policy.

15. Assumption of Ordinary Recreational Risk

By voluntarily participating, each participant acknowledges that ordinary recreational and event environments may involve minor risks such as slips, trips, contact with furniture or props, temporary stress, disagreement, sensory discomfort, or loss or damage to personal items. Participants agree to use reasonable care, observe their surroundings, and follow instructions intended to reduce such risks.

This acknowledgment is not a waiver of liability for conduct that cannot lawfully be waived and does not excuse Questoria Play from duties imposed by applicable law. The purpose is to ensure that participants understand the voluntary and interactive nature of the activity.

16. Limitation of This Disclaimer

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes a mandatory consumer remedy, limits responsibility for fraud or willful misconduct, or removes another liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the fullest lawful extent.

Clients should review the Terms of Service for the complete contractual provisions concerning booking, payment, intellectual property, disputes, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

17. Questions Before Participation

Questions about age suitability, lighting, sound, physical activity, accessibility, materials, venue access, or scenario content should be submitted before the booking is confirmed whenever possible. We will provide available information so the Client can make an informed decision.

Because individual needs vary, the booking organizer should not assume that a general website description answers a participant-specific question. Prompt communication gives us the best opportunity to recommend an appropriate format or reasonable modification.
